      There is a minor typographical error in Question 2(a). The final condition should read "x>3", not "x>2".

      An error crept into the solution of the last problem (5). In the fifth line of the solution, the factor of 2 was not carried all the way through; as a result the actual slope of the normal line is 1+ln(2); not the answer given in the pdf file.

      There was an error in the statement of question one, and many of you did not hear the correction–the correct units of measurement for the velocity should have been metres per hour (not metres per second). The only difference in the solutions is the difficulty of the arithmetic.
