A Brief Overview of the Model Theory of Modules
("What is it that I do?")
Abstract:

I will give an informal survey of what the Model Theory of Modules is all about: first order structures and languages; the core theorems of first order logic; how modules over a fixed ring are treated in this context; positive primitive formulas and the essentially algebraic nature of the model theory of modules; pure injective and saturated modules; abelian categories and the connections to homological algebra.

This will necessarily be quite superficial!
