Modular forms and Eisenstein series
Abstract:

Modular forms are important objects in number theory. For example, modular forms played a key role in Andrew Wiles's celebrated proof of Fermat's Last Theorem. Eisenstein series are basic examples of modular forms. We will discuss classical holomorphic Eisenstein series and their generalizations to higher dimensional spaces given by Klingen.
