Commutator Laws implying Commutativity in Semigroups.
Abstract:

In our continued effort to find new theorems in support of the CS-conjecture (i.e. comparing equational derivability in groups and semigroups), we investigate the following: if a positive commutator law implies commutativity in group theory, then the same law implies commutativity in cancellation semigroups admitting commutators.

This is part of an on-going research project done in collaboration with Dr. G. Moghaddam.
