Popov forms for matrices over Ore domains
Abstract:

In this talk, we will define and describe (weak) Popov forms of matrices over Ore domains, in particular, over skew polynomial rings and Weyl algebras. As applications we give general methods to calculate their ranks and a method to transfer a system of differential equations into a first order equation.
