| Abstract:
It is well-known that attempting to define a determinant for matrices over noncommutative rings started more than 150 years ago, and include several great names: Cayley, Ore, Dieudonne and Gelfand. In this talk, we will discuss several of this kind of determinants, in particular, matrices over skew polynomial rings and quaternions. |
