The power matrix
Abstract:

Given a power series f (formal or convergent) vanishing at zero, its power matrix is the matrix [f] whose mth row consists of the coefficients of the power series of f m. I will discuss the algebraic structure of the group of such matrices, including its Lie algebra and exponential map. If time allows I will give some examples of applications to complex analysis (without technicalities).
